Developer Collaboration

  • I had ongoing communication with the developer to confirm what features and layout ideas were feasible within the project’s scope and platform limitations.

  • We adjusted and refined image sizing, slider logic, and dynamic product displays based on tech feasibility.

  • Some designs were simplified based on what could realistically be implemented without slowing site performance or overwhelming users.

Jackie Signature Integration

  • Since Jackie Signature is Lucky Nail Supply’s in-house brand, I used this opportunity to design a brand-specific site that reflected my personal creative direction.

  • While Lucky’s site is retail-focused, Jackie Signature’s site is more curated and editorial, balancing style and ease of shopping for a younger, trend-conscious audience.

To design the Lucky Nail Supply website wireframe, I collaborated closely with the business owners and the developer to align the structure and layout with their expectations and technical constraints.

Client Input & Direction

  • The owners provided multiple example layouts they wanted the site to emulate, prioritizing a visually busy, product-dense homepage.

  • Their main goal was to showcase the large inventory (thousands of nail products) in a way that felt organized but comprehensive.

  • They emphasized the need for clear sections like wholesale, new arrivals, and brand highlights (e.g., OPI, Apres, etc.)

Design Process

  • I used Figma to build a vertically scrolling homepage wireframe that includes hero sliders, product carousels, and category blocks to maximize visibility and usability.

  • I developed multiple homepage variations to test visual hierarchy and layout flow.

  • Sections were clearly labeled for ease of communication with the team (e.g., "Wholesale not done yet").

  • I added placeholder slides and product images to simulate content density and user flow.

Website Outcome

This is the final website for Lucky Nail Supply, completed after 3–4 months of collaboration with developers. From wireframes to launch, the process involved multiple rounds of feedback to ensure the design vision was fully realized and the site is both functional and user-friendly.

Outcome + Reflection

What was the final result?
The final result is a homepage that effectively showcases everything Jackie Signature has to offer. It features three rotating hero images representing different Jackie Signature collections, highlights best-selling products directly on the homepage, and includes a live Instagram feed showing viral videos where the products are being used. The design emphasizes both product visibility and social proof to drive engagement.

Did it meet user needs/client goals?
Yes, the homepage met the client’s goals by creating a visually compelling, easy-to-navigate landing space that promotes brand identity, increases product visibility, and integrates user-generated content from social media to build credibility and community.

What would you do differently next time?
Next time, I would conduct more user testing earlier in the design phase to ensure every element—from layout to functionality—is optimized for the target audience. I would also consider including interactive elements or subtle animations to enhance user engagement without overwhelming the visual aesthetic.

What did you learn as a designer?
I learned the importance of balancing brand storytelling with product focus. Designing for a beauty brand like Jackie Signature taught me how to create visually rich, conversion-driven layouts while staying true to the client’s voice. I also gained valuable experience integrating social media content in a way that feels organic and supports the overall brand narrative.
